The good news is that the mail filters seem to work just fine. That's cool... The bad news is that if the Inbox folder is not "indexed" then the filters don't work at all (all messages go in Inbox) The inbox has to be reindexed (building summary message) after a crash of the mail client, then incoming mail will be filtered correctly. Also, Autoproxy doesn't work, direct entering proxy info does. When I'm using the extremely pitiful SOCKS connection here (entered in the Preferences->proxy) the entire Mozilla window fails to update(refresh) when the SOCKS is having trouble connecting. Don't tell me the "networking" fetches are on thread 0/Gui thread...
