Here are some comments after trying Warpzilla 0.8.1 for several hours on
my PIII/800 system (but now I'm back on NS 4.61).

First, the bad:

1. It's sloooow: slow to load and slow to display anything on the screen
-- perhaps it does load Web pages more quickly, but moving backwards or
forwards is slow, and screen refreshes when moving from one newsgroup to
another or from one mail folder to another are very slow. Does this
release still contain debug code?

2. The menu behavior is the same as I dislike about Win9x: the highlight
moves down as I move the mouse down (is that called "sliding focus", or
am I thinking of something else?), instead of waiting until I click on
something. Any way of making it behave "properly"?

3. I can't find any way of deleting to the end of the line, e.g., in the
Location window. Neither Ctrl-Del nor Ctrl-End (which I still remember
from my WordPerfect for DOS days) works. And if I try to highlight
(click and drag) from any part of the URL to the end, the whole URL
seems to get highlighted anyway.

But there is good too:

1. I like the ability to define different "identities" for e-mail and
Newsgroups.

2. Although at first I thought that "themes" were a useless gimmick, I
found that they provide a way of making the program look much better
than with the standard "Classic" appearance.
