Haven't been using the 0.8.1 Mozilla lately, but this problem
shows up with both 0.6 and 0.9 :
Suppose I want to specify the directory I want a dowloaded file
to be stored into as '\ccc\zzz'. By repetitively using the ".."
button, I quickly get to the root directory of the disk. I click
on 'ccc', and Mozilla shows me as many name-entries from the
beginning of 'ccc' as will fit into its list area. But 'ccc'
happens to have many many hundreds of entries. To get to name
'zzz', I grab the scroll-bar-slider, and drag it to the bottom.
Now Mozilla shows me the name-entries at the bottom of 'ccc'.
I click on the name 'zzz' in the list area. [So far so good.]
Mozilla now __scrolls__ ONE BY ONE through all those hundreds
and hundreds of name-entries in order to get from the bottom of
the 'ccc' list to the top of the 'ccc' list !!!!
I go get a cup of coffee. Eventually, Mozilla reaches the top
of the 'ccc' list, and now refreshes its list display with
name-entries from the beginning of 'zzz'. I click on 'OK' (or
something) and thereby confirm my "download directory" to Mozilla.
Why did Mozilla make me wait while it scrolled and scrolled and
scrolled and scrolled and ... ?
