On restart following attempted color change abend, font colors were
totally off the wall, very pale and nowhere near the black text and blue
links they should have been. Before attempting to change colors again in
preferences, I turned off "my sidebar" for the first time since newly
migrating the profile. Rather than messing with colors, I simply checked
the "use system colors" box. Voila! No crash, and colors are as
expected!
FWIW, this preference setting trouble started only after inserting into
CONFIG.SYS the following:
SET MOZILLA_HOME=G:\
Previously I had tried:
SET MOZILLA_HOME=G:\Mozilla
which created no preference changes problems, but didn't put the
profiles where I wanted them either. Before even trying that, which I
learned about only after starting up 0.9 several times with fresh
migration and without crashing trying to change preferences.
