As I have found out the answer is you can definately do this. The only
problem is that you have to modify your config.sys to remove os2web (or
whatever directory you installed the SWC version to) from the libpath. Then
just create a new directory and unzip the latest build in this new
directory.
So you can have multiple copies just keep them in different directories and
out of your config.sys.
