Well, this is my first post here, so here it goes...
My way of using the browser might be somewhat different from most people, I
often have 4 to 8 pages in the background waiting while I'm reading one
that's already loaded and rendered. Now, Mozilla's automatic attention
switcher will automatically make itself the top window whenever it starts to
get feed from the remote server... This can get exceedingly annoying if you
are reading a page and all the sudden another page pops up and covers
whatever you are reading now. As well, this will also cause problems with
some page's frame automatically reloads themselves (like current visitor
indicator), and thus make that window the top one even if you didn't touch
it after loading the page.
Any way I can switch this thing off?
As for the real bugs I seems to have found, is that somehow Mozilla will
mess up WPS really badly if I had been using it heavly for a while... All
the sudden the graphics becomes strange, and when changing attention to a
different window (screen is now garbled), all the windows underneath it will
start to redraw again (only happens to mozilla windows, other apps' windows
are now covered with background color and made invisible.
Cookies with most if not all of the Mozilla version seems to get lost rather
easily, I have a few forum site that I go to almost everyday, and everytime
I go there, it is likely Mozilla had somehow destroied the cookie and I'm
again a new user there. (Which will cause the "Rules and Regulations" window
to pop up)... Any time that this will be fixed???
And I also found when I was downloading IBM Stroage's DFT (Drive Fitness
Test) disk image, Mozilla will store it in the TMP directory but will not
actually write to the file and directory that I and told it to. And
sometimes when I try to "Copy Link Location", it seems to only copy what's
in the bracket of HREF command, while most of the time, it would work
fine... As well, sometimes BIG-5 (DBCS) decoding does not work fully, and a
few charactors are garbled (Minor annoyance... fix the WPS corruption and
window attention and I'd be happy as happy can be... :) ).
BTW, anyone experiencing Mozilla accidentally show HTML as raw text???
My system uses:
AMD K6-III 400
256MB RAM
WSeB (no fixpak, Taiwanese DBCS edition)
WarpCenter running manually (found that if I let it start automatically, it
often hangs, and if I start it manually, it will work okay...) and NO
desktop enhancement software...
