There's still a really annoying Mozilla bug here that should probably have
a bugzilla bug.

If you have no plugins installed (not even a "default" plugin) then any
plugin area on the screen is resized to 0x0 and the page content resizes
accordingly. Needless to say, this produces some strange results, and you
have no indication on the page that there were supposed to be plugins
there.
