Actually, this was/is an IBM product. And it is supported by IBM.

That is correct. Only Java 1.3 is supported and it would be supported by IBM if you
had purchaed a copy.

The only way to obtain the IBM Web Browser and the "official" Java 1.3 is with a
subscription to Software Choice.
Do you have any contracts in place with IBM at all?
I could probably get you a copy of what you need for testing purposes.
