Yes, this is very unfortunate. There is a bug in 4.61 that prevents address export, and because the address book is a proprietary format in 4.x, the import code is not in Mozilla.
Our best suggestion right now is to take your address book file to a Windows machine and export it there. I'll check to see if that 4.61 fix ever made it in.
