Mike ...

I did what you suggested and loaded Mozilla from a command prompt
"mozilla -turbo" ...
The command prompt window disappeared, CPU activity meter quickly
climbed to 100%, no splash screen appeared, and the command window
stayed hidden ... soon enough (maybe 25 seconds) the meter fell back
to 0% but the command window never came back ... didn't show up in the
Task List either ...

So I then loaded Mozilla like I normally do ... from a object on
XWorkplace's XCenter without the "turbo" switch ...
Again, the CPU climbed to 100% with no splash screen ... and I waited
.. and waited ... and waited ... nothing happened except that the
activity meter stayed pegged at 100% ... I waited a total of 3 minutes
..

I had to use my task killer to end the two mozilla entries and get my
system back to normal operation ... FYI ...
