Way fubar animated GIF handling. Went to http://www.rotaryengineillustrated.com/RE101pages/2-mechanics101.html, where there are 3 ~400K animated GIFs highlighting the page, plus a link to two more. Got tired of waiting for Mozilla to finish loading all three here and went to "next" link. Those I let load, which took forever. Then I decided I'd like to study them some more, so I chose to view each in turn by itself. Then I chose to save each to disk. Big mistake. Mozilla decided to download each image fresh instead of saving a copy of what it was showing me on screen. Really dumb, just like 4.61 used to do. After I started both to downloading, went back to the page with the three and tried to view the third image all by itself. That went fine, but when I hit the back button, the whole desktop turned into a kaleidoscope. CAD required to get desktop back to useable state, even though Alt-F4 did make the space formerly occupied by Mozilla no longer contain any traces of Mozilla. -- "A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy."
