opening the Mail & News window caused 0.9.4 to lock up (the info message
was something to the effect "reindexing inbox messages"). The first
time I was able to kill the process by pressing Ctrl-Esc and waiting for
the program "not responding message press Enter to kill it". It killed
OK but when I restarted it the same happened again but this time it
could not be killed. (I've never got around to installing Process
Commander). However, like 4.61 when this kind of muck up occurs its
only the WPS that's hung, not OS/2 itself. These messages were composed
and posted from a Netscape 4.76 running on a Win95B machine and talking
through Injoy on the OS/2 machine with the hung WPS. Even Siegfried
Hanisch's Screen Saver (part of Stardock's OS/2 Essentials) keeps
working but you can't get control of the WPS back ...

I've been thru the process of using Checkini and Cleanini but the WPS
will still hang after about 10 days up time with 4.61. I was looking to
Warpzilla being better, but no it isn't.

I have another machine lined up to run OS/2 but haven't had time to
get it all together. It will have an AMD K6-2 500 with 256 MB RAM
compared with the present 686 PR166 with 81 MB. Don't know whether that
will be better. I get the feeling there is still something about the
WPS I have not got nailed down so the problem may continue... OS/2 is
Warp 4 with FP 15.
