Now I looked at it and found the font on my system and changed the title fonts on the system desktop to it. Should I change anything in my Mozilla preferences?

Actually it will help :)

Between those dates we changed the font code so that it requires that you
have Times New Roman MT 30 on your system. If you do not, it hangs starting
up.

By changing os2pref.js to remove the reference to Times New Roman MT 30, you
override the code that was forcing you to need Times New Roman MT 30.

Hello Michael,
the build that works on my system has a os2prefs.js from 11/27/2001, the
os2prefs.js in the failing build is from 11/30/2001. The last one has
two more statements:

// print_headerfooter_gap enables platforms to specify an extra "gap" in
twips
// between the H/F and the edge of the paper,
// this is used by both Printing and Print Preview
pref("print.print_headerfooter_gap", 0); // twips

// print_extra_margin enables platforms to specify an extra gap or margin
// around the content of the page for Print Preview only
pref("print.print_extra_margin", 90); // twips (90 twips is an eigth of
an inch)

The other entries are identical. Therefore I believe the changing you
propose will not help...
But thanks for your immediate answer!

Sounds like the Times New Roman MT 30 font problem.

Before starting, go into bin\defaults\os2pref.js and change Times New
Roman MT 30 to Tms Rmn, or grab the latest driver.

Trying some nightly builds from the beginning of december I only
experienced a blocked desktop showing the beast in the start popup
making re-IPL necessary. What can be wrong?
