There is a preference that allows you to use the middle mouse button to click on a
link and have it open in a tab. Not sure if that works with mail, though...
I've got two other little problems with tabs (0.9.7 milestone build):
1) Entering a URL in the entry field and pressing Enter loads it in a new tab,
rather than the current one. According to the prefs, that should only happen with
Ctrl+Enter. I think others have mentioned this - maybe it is an XP bug?
2) Sometimes I will open a bunch of links into new tabs, and one of them will show
as (Untitled) and never load anything. I'm never sure what link I might be missing
- but I right click in the browser area with that tab active and get a menu that
includes "Reload frame" rather than "Reload." When I select "Reload frame,"
*all* tabs are wiped out, and I have just an empty browser window, with no
Back/Forward history. Not very nice... :(
