Then you right-click on the desktop and select "Paste..." from the context menu. In the dialog that shows up, select "Plain Text" as format and "WPUrl" as object class. Then press "Paste" (could be something else, I have a German Warp) and you get an URL object on the desktop. Pretty complicated, isn't it?
