Hi Wolfe

Create your profile(s) in a seperate directory not in your \mozilla\bin
directory. To do this you need to have specified the mozilla_home
directory before creating or importing any profiles. Here is how I went
about it.

I unzipped mozilla 0941 (works the same for 097) into a directory
J:\moz0941\bin. I then created a CMD file to set up any required paths
not in my config.sys file, which I call mozstart.cmd :-

/* Add any necessary PATH type statements */
'@SET MOZILLA_HOME=j:\'
'@set PATH=H:\JAVA13\JRE\bin;%path%'
'@set BEGINLIBPATH=H:\JAVA13\JRE\bin;H:\JAVA13\JRE\dll;j:\moz0941\bin'
'@SET CLASSPATH='
'@set java_home=H:\JAVA13\JRE'

/* Start Mozilla - no profiles */
'@j:\moz0941\bin\mozilla.EXE -l en_US -ProfileManager'

Running the above CMD file starts Mozilla with the Profile Manager. When
creating or importing a Netscape profile Mozilla will now create the
\Mozilla\Profiles tree in the directory pointed to by the Mozilla_Home
variable:- J:\

Creating 2 profiles, "losepete" and "nicki", gives me this as a Mozilla
profile tree :-

j:\mozilla\profiles\losepete
j:\mozilla\profiles\nicki

Using the same Mozilla_Home setting for any future versions of Mozilla
means that the profiles should be instantly useable - no more creating
the same profiles :-)

Do remember that you will need the Mozilla_Home setting to be the same
when you run Mozilla so you could use the above CMD file to start Mozilla.

Hope this helps

Pete
