[Don't know if this will make it - 'news.mozilla.org' DNS is bad] A problem that was discussed earlier was the "smearing" of the display screen when a too-long TEXT file was being displayed. The way I remember it, Mike said that the cause was "legacy" video drivers not properly supporting the way multi-platform Mozilla functions now indicate "areas" to the video routines.
Wanted to mention that I'm seeing (with a "legacy" driver) an analoguous "overlay" when IMAGES from a too-long file are being displayed. On http://cryptome.org/wtc-fk/wtc-freshkills.htm I would get things like snapshots of the throbber being drawn along the left edge of my screen. mikus (this was with 2002012208)
