Michael, the problem is that so many company have stupid web.designers that code alot of shit.
I have send a note to the JVC dudes, but dont think they will response nor they will even correct this problem. They locked out not only mozilla, even OPERA fails , OPERA works only when switch to identify itself as IE 5. It would be great as a feature wish for Mozilla to have some switch how it can identify itself - like Opera does. Some pages are coded and still online before mozilla / Netscape 6 was born and check browser, and they will fail if they dedect a none Netscape 4.71 or IE. The WEB World seems to go very stupid, today we need 3 diffrent browser to view 90% of the World WIDE WEB. Some stupid sites even restirct you to use MS IE and wont open (correcty) with Netscape. For this sites it would be good to have such a version faking option. I would also prefer much more it not in the same way as OPERA does, it would be better - i think - when it gives you evrytime when a site trys to identify the brwoser , the possibility to tell the site wich browser mozilla should be. Opera only does this in the preferences - this is a nice feature but not relay usefull when you dont know whats wrong with the site (e.g. www.jvc.com) So when you see that a site does not work you dont know why it not work, and have always to play around with this identify settings. Better is when you get warned like : "Warning site trys to identify your browser brand - please select wich brand shoud be replayed" Hows about such a feature , and what does others thinks about this ?
