This may be already documented but in case it is not, here is what I found. If you use the email client in IBM Web Browser v1.1, it will not properly recognize long folder names containing spaces and will appear to lose their contents. IWB v1.0 8/2001 edition worked edition okay with these. You can recover the "lost" folder contents if you uninstall v1.1, reinstall v1.0, use v1.0 to change the folder names containing spaces to something without spaces (use underscore instead of a space, for example), uninstall v1.0, and reinstall v1.1.
