more in 9.8

I managed to get 9.8 installed and my 9.7 profile put back. Now my only
remaining problem is
that men I invoke mozilla the cpu utilization goes to 100% and things
get very slo o o o o w.
Any suggestiona as to where to look. Anyone else have this problem?
