I found that if I load and use Mozilla 0.9.6, and then open Mozilla 0.9.9, that the mail inbox is useable. But when I close and reopen the program, the inbox is back to the unusable state. From this I conclude that the problem is in the writing of the defective file that the others have found. Hope this observation helps the fixer. Bill
