[...] Once again, my question came from my confusion as to why you are trying to post to your own localhost if it is down. I have no problems with Mozilla posting to jakesplace, for example, (although I prefer PMINews for that) and it does not try to post to any other server other than the configured one. Somewhere in your prefs.js there must be a pointer to your localhost that is getting Mozilla mixed up.
