In 2002032216, I clicked on a file with a new MIME-type.
Mozilla asked me what to do with that file -- I had
Mozilla 'search' for the application name to which to
pass the file. [Unfortunately, I didn't chose the
'Advanced' button - so Mozilla did not create a helper
application entry for that MIME-type.]

But somehow Mozilla thought I had said 'save to disk',
and had said 'don't ask again'. So each subsequent
time that I clicked on a file with that MIME-type,
Mozilla put up the OS/2 file dialog (to find out in
which disk directory, and with which name, I wanted
that file to be saved). I eventually had to go into
prefs.js and delete the 'don't ask' line there.

My question -- is there a way to ask Mozilla to
override a 'save to disk' for one __specific__
MIME-type ? [Remember, no 'helper application'
entry had as yet been created for this MIME-type.]
