This problem does not occur if I access mail exclusively via Tasks/Mail
& Newsgroups. It is directly related to accessing mail via the
component bar.

However, I have encountered another, possibly related problem: I launch
mail and open a compose message window; I decide not to compose a new
message and, so, close the compose message window. I then close mail
and minimize Mozilla. I restore Mozilla via its Warpcentre icon as
normal. Up pops a compose message window which is impossible to close
as all menus etc are unresponsive. I can access and use Mozilla and
mail as normal via the windows list and can delete this ghost compose
message window via windows list. This ghost compose message window
only pops up when I access Mozilla via its Warpcentre icon after having
apparently closed the window initially; if I access Mozilla from the
windows list this ghost window does not appear. Further, if after
opening and then closing a compose message window and minimizing
Mozilla, I next access Mozilla via the windows list, then this ghost
message compose window does not appear when I subsequently access
Mozilla via the Warpcentre. But the ghost window occurs every time if I
open and then close a compose message window, minimise Mozilla and
then restore Mozilla first via Warpcentre.
