Some of the nightlies I can unzip over a previous installation and run without problems, while others hang until I delete the old files, unzip the new build again, then re-migrate my Netscape profile. Why?
E.g., after trying the 020326 builds and finding that the http://www.chrysler.com page was messed up (string of text across the top of the screen, and the graphic displaced to the right hand side of the screen), I went back to the 020324 AM build. When the 020329 build appeared, I unzipped it over the 020324 build and tried to run it, but the whole system hung, and Process Commander indicated that Mozilla was processing its exitlist. I then deleted all the Mozilla files and unzipped 020329 again. When I started the program it migrated the NS profile, but the Chrysler page was messed up again. When the 020330 build appeared, I unzipped it on top of the 020329 build, and it ran normally (i.e., no hang), but still did not display the Chrysler page correctly. I then unzipped the 020324 AM build over the 020330 build, but the machine hung as before when I tried to run it. Any idea why this happens? And why the variation from build to build in the ability to display the Chrysler home page correctly? -=- Alan
