Recently, my typical memory usage (according to top) went from stabilizing around 60MB-70MB to stabilizing at 150MB to 160MB. I just did an experiment. After reading newsgroups, email, etc and a few web pages, my memory usage was around 65MB. I opened a bookmark for a bugzilla list of bugs marked FIXED that have had changes in the last 48 hours. I then did ctrl+click on a few bugs and memory went up to 80MB. I opened a bookmark for bugs with the perf keyword (in the same window the FIXED bugs had been listed in) and memory use shot up to 143MB.
