Old problem recurs.

I'm not sure the first of the entries was the last I encountered, but
certainly the second is the one that just happened. Actual sequence just
now:

1-open page using fonts smaller than current minimum font size via css
2-open prefs
3-change minimum font size from 10 to 8
4-LMB on history
5-LMB on OK
6-trap

I did 4 before 5 because in the past I have found that I can prevent
font size pref exit traps by not going directly to OK after a font
adjustment. This time it didn't work.

I have been using the minimum font size pref since before there was a UI
for it. Usually I keep it at 10, but sometimes I need to reduce it to
work through a page construction problem or view a font rendering
example.
