Was downloading a file of 48302432 bytes. When it reached the
2/3 point (32176699 bytes), Mozilla suddenly copied (probably
from the temporary directory?) to the target directory the data
it had downloaded so far, and closed the 'Saving' window. (I
have entry in prefs.js that says not to use Download Manager.)
My disk cache size is the default 50MB. I suspect this premature
close of the download occurred when Mozilla had filled the entire
cache. [I have no idea how full the cache was when I started, but
having used only 17 MB of it since I installed this build (and
allocated a brand new "profile" for it) sounds very possible.]

p.s. I erased the partial file in the target directory, then
simply clicked again on the file's URL. Mozilla copied
the first 32 MB (or whatever) from its cache, then went
on to download the remaining 16 MB -- so I *did* get the
entire file, though I had to start the download twice.
The 'Status:' line in the 'Saving' window was amusing --
when (on the second download) Mozilla copied the first
32 MB (or whatever) from its cache, that caused the
initial value of the transfer __rate__ to be shown as a
HUGE number of kilobytes per second.
pps. I am not sure what name Mozilla used to place this file in
the temporary directory. I looked once while the download
was going on -- the only file there had an .exe extension.
(The file I was downloading had a .divx extension -- I had
pressed <shift> before clicking on its URL.)
