I click the icon for mail & newsgroups - the window opens. I click on the root folder of any account and the window opens at, say, mozilla mail - Netcom (listing email, accounts, advanced features). I click on view|sort by - there is a blank space between priority and size: sender is missing. To restore sender to the sort list, I click on any other folder in any account and then view|sort by: this is then retained if I return to a root account folder window (described earlier). If I close mail and then rerun mail & newsgroups, the gap is once again present, as described. A precondition for attempting to reproduce this is to click on view|sort by for the root folder of any account before any other folder - the gap is present for any account I have in mail or news.
