I'm talking about the known Mozilla bug: 136040. You may know about it as the one involving corruption of the overlays.rdf files. You lose taskbar items that get you to Mail and News, IRC Chat, Composer, etc. You also lose the ability to get to these things via hot keys (ctrl + 1, ctrl + 2, etc) or the Window menu.
It appears to be an OS/2 bug not a Mozilla bug. (I know you have never seen this kind of problem with any other application but...) For me, the problem went away on one machine when I upgraded from the Warp 4 FP 15 kernel to one of the newer ones (I upgraded to W41026). Another computer, which had a newer kernel before the installation of Mozilla, never had the problem. Another way of fixing the problem without upgrading the kernel is to add a file, any file, to the directories that contain an overlays.rdf file (E.g., ...bin\chrome\overlayinfo\communicator\content) Somehow, the corruption of the file does not occur if the overlays.rdf file is not alone in a directory. Has anyone experienced this bug with a fairly recent kernel? Jim
