There is a strong rumor that Java 1.4 for OS/2 is in the works.  But 
there is no official confirmation.  But until and unless this happens, 
you are stuck with Java 1.3+, which does not have the Java 1.4 
enhancements, eg. the bells and whistles of sound and video like WPS has.
