I have broadband, so my login survives not only restarting Mozilla, but
also restarting the PC. What you wrote is totally non-intuitive, but I
managed it anyway. I ran a query from the default query page in which I
changed nothing from the default except to have everything in the status
box highlighted except for CLOSED, no inputs to any fields. I expected
that to try to return all non-closed bugs for all products, but it
didn't.
