NPOJI6.DLL version?

I just noticed (by doing Help -> About Plug-ins) that the version of NPOJI6.DLL on my 
system was older than the Java version.

I have now updated the DLL, but could that have been the cause of my frequent 
unkillable BufferCreator threads?
