The answer is basically that the zipping of the nightlies is kind of a hacked together process. When I get the time in the very near future, we are going to redo our nightlies so that we upload a zip and an installer, and then the bin directory will go away for good actually. The bin directory is just an artifact of the way I zip up release builds. Mike
