Please forgive me, Mike, for asking a general (i.e., non-OS/2)
question on this list -- I don't want to subscribe to other
newsgroups/forums just to ask one question. [Also, I don't use
the Download Manager, so I don't know what options it has.]

I can write HTML (or whatever language) code whereby the server,
upon being notified of an appropriate cursor fly-over, expands a
"pop-up menu" on which the user can LMB click to select various
actions. But this is a particular-webpage-specific solution.

What I would like is for the USER to be able to specify (to the
browser) a "pop-up menu" extension that the browser would open
when an RMB click is done on ANY link in a webpage.

Precedents exist for similar facilities:

 - In OS/2, properties notebooks for folders have a 'Menu' tab,
whereby "objects" can be added to the "pop-up" menu displayed
when the folder icon is RMB clicked.

 - When Mozilla tries to download a file having a mimetype whose
disposition has not been saved, it asks what to do with that
file (save to disk, or pass it to such-and-such an application).
[This facility accomplishes my aim, but I want to be able to
specify a whole LIST of choices (not just one per mimetype).]
Is there a way to specify more than one possible application ?

Does anyone know of any "projects" which would let an USER specify
a whole LIST of things that might be done with a link in a webpage ?

[Preferably when an entry is selected, the URL from that link
would be passed to the executable associated with that entry.]

Thanks for any information,
mikus
