Hi all, I asked in #mozillazine for someone to help clean out bugzilla's database because it doesn't make sense to have bugs reported as All:MacOS8 or PC:MacOS9. IMO this is a bug in user behavior (and perhaps in bugzilla for allowing it). We're very sorry for the spam that you may have received. I went through and reviewed the changes making modifications to nearly all of the bugs (which doubled the spam, sorry ... ) -- In retrospect, i should have done this change on my own instead of seeking assistance. to any QA contacts who were affected, if you believe a bug is xp please mark as such, otherwise I believe that w/o additional comments a bug is reported against a single platform or codebase, if it's against xp code i generally picked All:All, if the summary indicated mac i generally agreed w/ Platform:Mac. basic: i'm sorry i didn't give clearer instructions, I was hoping someone would go through each bug and resolve the discrepancy (as i eventually did), but I realize that i didn't state this clearly. To avoid future cleanings, people should avoid filing bugs w/ invalid platform/os settings, just like people eschew filing bugs w/ incorrect descriptions and summaries.
