On 27 Jul 2001 09:20:38 GMT esteemed Mama Cass Elliot did hold forth thusly:
> > This really reveals that you've not worked as a programmer.

> I've already said that I am not a programmer.
And that you therefore do not understand how complex a mental task it
is to do computer programming.
Audio engineering is a lot less complex. Computer programs are the most complex
things that humas have ever built. They are at the edge of what the human mind
is capable of. It is not possible to make them error free. We are not smart
enough to make them error free. There are too many interactions and sequences
of state change to picture them all and be assured one has handled them all.
You deny that this is the case buy you do so from a position of ignorance as to
just how complex large computer programs really are.
No human or group of humans can develop something as complex as Moz without it
having thousands of bugs. Take any program that is of similar size, open source
or commercial, and the same holds true. The programmers who work on Linux are
considered to be brilliant and very meticulous in their work. In spite of this
there is no shortage of bugs to fix in Linux.
