The 0.9.3 release will probably be squeezed out sometime in the next
couple of days. After that work will continue onto the trunk until 0.9.4.

The period between the 0.9.2 release and 0.9.3 has been very good.
There has been some good incremental performance work that has taken
place and we have still maintained stability.

From now until the 0.9.4 release we have some large pieces of code
landing. Some of these include the fastload code, ( already landed, but
off ) a new NSPR release, the removal of the old imglib, LDAP work and
the folder outliner ( maybe? )

With all this new code going in we've got a challenge to maintain the
stability that we have. The 0.9.4 release is going to be very very
important for several customers so it's important that we are very
careful and avoid crash landings. Take the time to work with the build
team to make test builds for QA to go through and don't land if you're
aren't completely sure you're ready!

If you are planning one of the landings or some code that you think
might be questionable but worth the risk please take the time to get
[EMAIL PROTECTED] and the build team in the loop to avoid collisions.

Simply put, we all want to have our cake and eat it too. Everyone's
been doing a good job to make this possible and if we keep doing what we
have been then we should be able to make it happen.

Because of the importance of the stability of the 0.9.4 release we're
going to go back to a=drivers for the trunk about a week before the
0.9.4 freeze date. As the freeze date approaches and we've got a better
sense of how things look in terms of stability we'll nail a date down
for moving to approved-only checkins. Stay tuned! We'll let you know.
