No, I just do it cause I feel like I wanna, just to make sure I don't get errors due to any changes that may happen in the registry (not that many do anymore, call it being nitpicky) ... I don't use mozilla for mail or news, and I dont use the netscape bookmark cause I still rely on IE6 as my default browser so for me to run a simple batch file i put together to completely destroy an old install of mozilla is not a big deal. Now that we've completely slid off topic, lets just put this thread to bed and say to hell with it and on with development.
