Hi Markus
The general computer press has really been very critical of Netscape. this
version should not have been released. Indeed, the mozilla.org browser (on
which netscape is based) is not going to be ready till sometime in March.
Netscape / AOL jumped the gun cause they wanted "something" out by
Christmas.

| Hi,
|
| i have downloaded Netscape 6 for Linux. I was looking forward to do it,
| because the advertisements on the Netscape homepage make strong promises.
|
| Let me tell you what happens when I want to use security related
functions.
|
| Whenever I access a SSL secured site, nothing happens.
|
| When I try to launch the Security Manager in the "Tasks" menu, nothing
| happens and the system remains in "menu selection mode". The only thing
| I can do is to terminate the X session (Ctrl+Alt+Backspace).
|
| All in all, Netscape 6 runs very slowly on my P3, 800 MHz, 256 MB RAM (!).
|
| Am I doing things wrong or is Netscape getting worse?
|
| Thank you,
|
| Markus
