I'm inclined to agree with Ian. We try to steer clear of features which 
provide a false sense of security. Also, this statement makes no sense 
to me:

Are you saying that someone who could find and read your mail directory 
could also break strong encryption? If this is the case, we're all doomed :)

Hopefully, anyone without the resources of a major government will be 
deterred by well-implemented encryption.
