After installing, rebooting and starting Mozilla, Zone Alarm asks if I
want Mozilla to use my computer as a server, to which I tell it "NO!"
and to remember my response, then every time you fire up Mozilla, Zone
Alarm asks if Mozilla.exe can access the internet. I have a blank start
page, so it shouldn't try to access before I tell it where to go.
I have been using Netscape 4.72 and it does not try to access the
internet until I give it a url to go to. Checking Netstat reveals that
Mozilla is opening TCP Local Address is desk:1027, and 1028, State is
"Listening" with a Foreign Address of localhost:1028 and 1027, State is
"Established".
I REALLY like the new features on Mozilla such as the personal sidebar,
and the Gecko build /20010628 engine is really fast! I'm just wondering
what's going on with this accessing the internet thing. I don't feel
very comfortable with it until I get some good answers. I understand
that Netscape 6.0 is based on this Mozilla browser and Gecko engine too.
Anybody have any ideas?
