The 128 bit SSL-encryption that's used for sending encrypted data over 
the internet is considered very secure by cryptography experts. It would 
probably take (on average) years to decrypt a transmission.

(Note that the same is true for Internet Explorer's encryption, as it 
uses the same mechanism. Note however that older versions of MSIE use by 
default a comparatively insecure method and need an upgrade to encrypt 
securely. This may only apply to users outside of the US).
