However, Mozilla's Download Manager intercepts the download 'call' and it tries to download the file too, This second connection is seen by the site's security 'watch dog' as an unauthorized connection and it shuts down both connections - the desired one and the 'unauthorized' one - and, of course, I get a nastygram from 'Security' concerning my attempted 'unauthorized' connection.
So, what I want to know is, is there any way to prevent Download manager from trying to download the file? I've looked around in the preferences areas and haven't found anything, but, I may be missing something.
Otherwise, I have to set Internet Explorer as my default browser, at least temporarily, and use it to initiate the download from this site; something I 'hate' to do. As it happens Internet Explorer doesn't cause the same problem since it 'asks' me where I want to save the file and I can either ignore it or cancel it. (Mozilla's download Manager doesn't do that - it just starts downloading.)
(I'm subject to an NDA so I'm not at liberty to discuss this special program, the type of information involved or how it's used so please don't ask. Thanks)
