Thanks for the response. I've found out in the meantime that the implementation of the password file has changed since the last time I used it, such that mozillapw can no longer recover the passwords, even with no master password set. However, I found that I could edit the password file and change the hostname, URL, and form parameter names. I was able to change those values to point to a domain I control, and recover the password that way. It still would be nice to be able to do recover stored passwords a bit less laboriously, so I'll be taking it up with the crypto guys when I get a chance. Thanks again. Ed
