So how do I access XPCOM drag and drop from a remote site, or is this not possible at all?
You could replicate the drag'n'drop utilities in your own code and use enablePriviledge in your version as required.

You can do this in W3C DHTML very nicely (see www.brainjar.com), but then I lose XUL's rich widget set. All this power and you can't use it remotely arrgh!
Yep, remote XUL is not in the best shape. I wonder if in this particular case, this barrier is good, though. Dragging content from one window on another could violate the cross-domain-scripting rule, I guess.
