It isn't really.  But maybe you don't want people knowing what browser you
use.

yes, it's a pref you can set. The easiest way is to get an extension like
http://uabar.mozdev.org/

Note that if you do that, you might have problems with the Java plugin,
and with websites that detect what browser you are using in order to send
different content.
