Oh good, let's make that the default then. Since it's that easy I'm sure
people like yourself who *know* about that switch and are experienced enough
to know when it's safe to install can easily turn it on when necessary.

(I'm serious, by the way: we're most likely turning off XPInstall by default
for most sites for Firefox 1.0)
