If things are going to get frozen, should they be fixed to remove things
like nsString and nsStr? For example I just tried patching XPCOM to only use
the new string APIs. Here's the diff needed:
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99122 Some APIs used nsString
parameters and needed to be changed.

Another issue is that the registry code needs UTF8 conversion support which
is not in the new string lib.
