Hi, I asked this question a fair while ago and received am interesting
response that said this was possible, but now that I need it I can't
find it!
I need to implement a local search mechanism for people who don't have
our documentation stored on a web server, so I need the ability to
read from a (single, specific) local file using JavaScript in a
file:/// page.
This is possible in NS4 (buggily, using LiveConnect) and IE (using
FSO).
How do I do it in Mozilla?
I don't think this is a FAQ... I've searched high and low and can't
find anything about this on the web...
